A French woman has been arrested for allegedly taking nude videos on a bridge over the river Ganga at Hrishikesh, a popular pilgrimage site in India.

A case has also been filed against the woman under internet law. He was arrested by the police after the video taken at Laxman Jhula Bridge over the river Ganga became public on social media.
If convicted, he faces up to three years in prison under Internet law. This place is considered a holy place for the Hindu community and also a center of attraction for tourists.
A 27-year-old woman said that she made the video with the aim of promoting her jewelry business. She is currently out on bail.
Police, on the other hand, said that they had arrested her on the pretext of making the move objectionable.
There is a legend that Hrishikesh was a religious place and that Rama, Sita, and Laxman crossed the river Ganga from the bridge.
The French woman said during interrogation that she did not know it was illegal to take video at that scene. But she also says that she was not completely naked while making the video.
